Fenton FAGCA Blue BurmeseAtlantis Vase DESCRIPTION: This auction is for a GORGEOUS Blue Burmese Atlantis Vase produced as a special order exclusively for the Fenton Art Glass Collectors of America in extremely limited number. The artist has done a marvelous job of making the Atlantis vase come to life! The colors include delicate shading with white which gives the impression of sheer fins. In addition, the fish have been iced with crystals of crushed glass, which add sparkle to the colors and give the entire scene an added underwater feel. Blue Burmese is an exclusive color created by the Fenton Art Glass Company. Real Gold is used in the formula. When the vase is reheated after moulding, the heat brings the gold to the surface of the glass, creating the blush. Each piece of Blue Burmese is a unique piece of art, the work of several skilled workers, working in unison to create each beautiful piece. This Vase is approximately 7 inches tall and is 6 inches wide at the top of the vase. It is a substantial piece, weighing approx 4 pounds just in the glass alone. The blue burmese has a lovely tone of blue/lavender, with a pink blush at the top of the vase. The vase features beautifully sculpted fish complete with bubbles, seashells, kelp, and coral.
