FENTON BLUEBIRDS ON CUSTARD SATIN STUDENT LAMP You are bidding on a rare and hard to find Fenton Bluebirds on Custard Satin Student Lamp 9308 BC. The lamp measures approximately 19-1/2" and was introduced in 1977 and discontinued in 1980. Fenton catalogs portrays the decorations as "happy little birds painted on delicate stem and leaf backdrops depicting the pleasant feel of a summertime meadow". The shade of the lamp has been damaged and t are two missing pieces of the shade. One missing area is approximately 3" long x 1/2" at the narrowest portion to 1" at the widest. The other area is 1" x 1/4". Although the shade has two missing areas it still displays very well and it's possible you might locate a replacement shade. The bottom portion of the lamp is in excellent condition with no chips to the glass portion of the base with the bluebirds and the marble base measures approximately 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" with no chips. The pedestal has a gold and silver wash over pot metal and the lamp is in working condition. The base of the shade is 6-3/4" across and you could replace the shade with a complimentary shade. This is probably one of the more beautiful lamps produced by Fenton. This item weighs 9 lbs. when boxed for shipment. Use shipping calculator for shipping charges.
