Fenton Carnival Glass Bowl - Strawberries & Dragons You are bidding on a beautiful iridescent asparagus-green/cranberry carnival glass bowl. The iridescence reveals shades of purple, cranberry and gold that shimmer in the light. The bowl has a very interesting pattern of large strawberries interspersed with ornate dragons. Iâe(tm)m fairly sure that this is an unmarked Fenton Strawberries & Dragon 10" carnival glass fruit or candy bowl, Circa... Early 1900's. T are quite a few Dragon & Lotus or Dragon & Rose pattern bowls offered all the time- many were produced. But this Strawberry & Dragons pattern is very rare. Also, this bowl is larger than most of the "dragon" design bowls, almost 10" wide. I have only seen two other S&D bowls offered for sale, and neither were in this unique color pattern. If you have been wanting to acquire a unique piece with this color and pattern, take a good look look at this beauty . . . mint condition for a 100 year old bowl. No chips, cracks or repairs. Deep asparagus-green base color with varying ruby/cranberry shaded iridescence that almost transforms to a golden hue when exposed to bright light or at certain angles. Very iconoclastic design that is highly influenced by illumination - as seen in the attached pictures - taken at different angles and with flash as well as with natural light- some of the colors change incredibly from purple to cranberry red, to gold. Size is a quarter inch shy of 10" wide by 3-1/4" tall. The three pedal base is excellent- sits flat and even. The iridescent finish is excellent. I see no wear at all. Absolutely great collector piece - probably one that your friends and colleagues have never seen.
