WELCOME CARNIVAL GLASS COLLECTORS! Item Description: This is a beautiful, old Fenton LIONS Ice Cream Shape Bowl in gorgeous Marigold base glass with wonderful soft, yet striking multi-color iridescence! The bowl is really pretty in natural light. It is an old, vintage piece, not marked in any way. The set is a superb example of this pattern and this color, striking on display! It is an excellent investment quality piece of glass. I have included several photos of the bowl so you can see for yourself. It looks even better in your hands as it is always very difficult to capture a piece like this on film and do it justice. You can reference this piece in David Doty's 1998 Field Guide to Carnival Glass or The Encyclopedia to Carnival Glass and Edwards and Carwile. I guarantee this is authentic, early 1900's vintage Carnival Glass! All pictures were taken outside in natural light...no flash. I never enhance photos, what you see is what you get. I do not use reserves, never have, I believe the buyers should set the value, so bid with confindence and have fun...it will sell to the high bidder. Item Condition: ( Pictures are part of the description...and I include lots of them...so please have a look!) This bowl is in Excellent condition. No cracks, chips or repairs. No major distractions whatsoever. T are a few small manufacturing stretch marks...you must search for them. Nothing uncommon. T are a few tiny manufacturing bubbles also...again...nothing uncommon at all. The face of the bowl is very clean...hardly any wear at all...if any...it can only be seen with a strong magnifying glass. T is one very small fleabite, smaller than the end of a pen, on the outside edge of one point. T is some very minor wear on the outside of the bowl on the raised surfaces...pin-head sized flecks of loss of iridescence is what I call them. It is extremely tiny and minor wear. Nothing uncommon at all. T are a couple of small tool marks on the outside of the bowl...again....nothing uncommon. The edge treatment is even and nice. That is all I can find on this very beautiful bowl. I've looked it over hard. I'm being very picky. I included lots of pictures, up close, so have a look. I collect Carnival Glass myself and I'm picky with my descriptions, like I like others to be when I'm buying so you know what you are getting. And as all of us in Carnival know color is key and this bowl displays gorgeous multi-color, especially for a Marigold piece! Nothing I've mentioned takes anything away from this gorgeous bowl. Simply put...it is an excellent investment quality piece of glass. It has been taken care of and is very clean. The pictures tell the tale, please have a look and judge for yourself.
