Awesome Vintage Cobalt Blue - Hand Blown Jack In The Pulpit Flower Vase Hand Signed by Painter (E Brown) with Mary Gregory Painting!!!! This is an awesome piece made by Fenton in the 1970s or before as I was told (Please let me know if incorrect). This vase is a beautiful cobalt blue, still has the original FENTON stamp on it, and I don't think it was ever used. It is truly beautiful and the color is exquisite. As you can see by the pictures - it really stands out!!! The painting at the base is the Mary Gregory Style Little Boy Fishing and the Glass was signed at the base of the painting as E Brown or better known from what I have learned as Ernie Brown. "Ernie Brown was an in-house painter for the Westmoreland Glass Company (they closed in the mid 1980's) for about 20 years. In recent years he has been doing a limited number of pieces for Rosso Glass. . The Vase measures 12 1/2 inches in height from the top of the pulpit to the base. The width of the pulpit is 6 1/2 inches at it's widest point. The middle stem portion just above the painting is 1 1/2 inches in diameter and the base of the vase is 4 1/2 inches This vase is in excellent shape with no nicks, scratches, flea bites or chips at all!!
