for bid is a stunningly beautiful cranberry opalescent coin dot / spot / dot optic decanter & tumbler set by Fenton. All of the pieces are vintage & unmarked. The decanter alone is quite rare and can be found in the rarities section of John Walk's Big Book of Fenton Glass, 1940 to 1970, 4th edition. But to have the decanter & the tumblers together is extremely rare. This decanter alone has a book value of $600 to $750+. My reserve is much much lower then the decanter's book value. None of these were part of the reg line and extremely hard to find. The decanter stands approx 12 1/4" tall with its stopper in place, 10 1/4" tall without its stopper, and is approx 5 1/2" wide. Each of the six barrel shaped tumblers are approx 4" tall and are approx 2 3/4" wide. The only problem I can find with the decanter are a couple of burst bubbles on the inside of the neck, mainly around the area that has been sanded down for the stoppers usage. These were done during the manufacturing process and in no way takes away from this decanter's beauty nor value. The applied bamboo handle in in excellent condition with no heat checks at all. All of the barrel tumblers are in great condition with the exception of straw marks...another manufacturing issue consistant with age. This is a very beautiful & very hard to find set. Don't let this pass you by. Please ask questions before bidding. Winning bidders are responsible for all shipping costs including a 45 cent tracking fee. This is the exact fee the USPS charges.
