Up for auction this week is a lovely 8" Vase, produced by Fenton Glass between 1947 - 1958. This vase is produced in the ever popular and highly collectible Cranberry Opalescent Coin Dot pattern also known as Coin Spot, which features lovely red and opalescent glass, surrounding clear glass windows, or angel eyes, as some call these pieces as a nick name. This piece is in wonderful shape. T is no damage to it in any way, no nicks, chips, cracks, fractures, repairs or discolorations. The piece has a few very small, pin head sized air bubbles deeply embedded and in no danger of ever popping. These are very common in this vintage of glassware, and in no way detracts from the beauty, collectibility or value of the item. I only mention for complete accuracy, and so t's no surprises when you open the box, should you be the lucky winner of this wonderful vase. This piece stands 8-1/2" tall and is 4" wide at the top opening. It's about 3-1/2" wide at teh bottom base/foot. An example of this piece is shown on Page 32 in John Walk's "Big Book of Fenton Glass, 1940 - 1970", the 5'th edition, the soft covered book. He has a nice chapter on the Cranberry Opalescent Coin Dot that runs from pages 29 - 34. Since this piece was a relatively short protection run, these vases are getting harder and harder to find, as they are all in collections, and likely folks aren't parting with them. I wouldn't be either, if it wasn't just a need to thin down our collection, and even some of my personal favorites are having to go too. I'm just out of room to display the pieces I like the most. So, t you have it. If t's something that I haven't mentioned , and it matters to you, please drop me a message through ebay messages, and I will be happy to answer you promptly. I can't stress this enough, please feel free to ask any questions prior to bidding, to avoid any misunderstandings. We will be happy to reply back to you as fast as possible. Please tho, do try and ask all questions before 12 hours prior to auction end time. Being weekend auctions mostly, we are not always around on Sunday or Monday nights as these items go off. Thanks for taking the time to view my auctions, and I hope you would have a few more minutes to surf our other listings this week for other nice Fenton pieces, a few reference books and vintage ceramic pieces. My listings will be starting on Sunday AND Monday evenings this week, so please check back often. Thanks, and Happy ebaying! *******PLEASE READ, IT'S IMPORTANT!!************ We are selling items from our own personal home or glass collections and are trying to thin down the collections and clean house. We must ask that all sales are final, so please do view all photographs we have up on the items, and ask all questions prior to bidding. We try our very best to describe all items accurately. I do rely HEAVILY on reference books, so please bid accordingly. Because all of these items come from our own collection, we liked nice pieces too. We know all too well the heartache of receiving items from ebay that came with undisclosed damage or weren't at all like photo'd or described. We didn't like it at all, and wouldn't knowingly do that to anybody else.We describe all items and damage that would affect it's collectibility or value. We DO NOT make mention of normal wear and tear, minor surface scratches from wear and tear, manufacturing issues such as air bubbles, straw marks, rough or heavy seams, misformed shapes/ruffles, basket maker marks, ash deposits, etc. Please keep in mind most of the glassware items we sell are between 20 -100 years old, and as such cannot be expected to be perfect and new. They have been around for many years and may show some minor signs of wear. WE WILL ONLY MENTION THESE ITEMS IF IT IS EXCESSIVE OR AFFECTS THE VALUE OR COLLECTIBILITY! If you are expecting 20 - 100 year old glass to look brand new, possibly you should be contac...
