Up for auction this week, is a very pretty bell produced by Fenton Glass in the 1980's. This is part of the "MOTHER'S DAY" pieces that Fenton Produced on Custard Satin Glass. Each year, they produced a bell, a plate and a few other items that were marked as "Mother's Day" and the year. I started collecting these, but didn't get very far, so am listing the ones I have. I have a few plates and a few bells, so hopefully you can use one or some of them to fill in your own collection, or use these to start a fun collection. This is the 1984 Bell, featuring a happy little Panda Bear sitting with some bamboo munching happily. The backside of the bell just features a small patch of bamboo and leaves. It's written along the bottom edge in black, "Mother's Day, 1984". It also has a dark brown ring handpainted along the edge for color. The clapper is intact and features a clear glass ball on a chain. The original paper "glassmaker" style sticker is still present, altho worn. You can still make out the ware number of 7564 PM, and the original price when new of $28.50 The bell is free of any type of damage. I find no nicks, chips, cracks, fractures, repairs, or discolorations to the glass. It's a very nice bell and rings nicely too.
