Fenton First Edition Nativity The Shepherds and Lamb Set with Original Box First Edition Nativity The Shepherds Set made by Fenton Glass Company. Handmade in the USA. A beautiful set of satin ivory glass hand painted with stunning detail. Three pieces of the First Edition: One shepherd with staff, 7" tall by 3" across, hand painted with green robes, white with burgundy highlights and gold stripes, hand painted by Corbain Wind, black metal staff, detailed with 22k gold; One kneeling shepherd with lamb, 4 1/2" tall and 2 1/2" across, hand painted with red plaid detail around robes, holding a golden colored lamb in his arms, on a tan colored base, hand painted by R. Delmart, detailed with 22k gold; One lamb 3" tall and 3" across, golden colored fleece, hand painted by S. Burns, detailed in 22k gold. This set is in original box. The pieces and the box are in excellant condition, no chips or cracks. It has the original Fenton tag item # 5055 NS. This set would make a great addition to any Fenton collection. I purchased this set new in 2000 when it came out. It has never been displayed and comes from a smoke free home. I have all 4 sets of the 12 piece collection for sale on Ebay and will combine shipping. This is the rarest and hardest to find of the four sets.
