Fenton Favrene Covered Temple JarDESCRIPTION:This auction is for a BEAUTIFUL Fenton FAVRENE Covered Temple jar, hand painted in a lovely white floral design. The lid for the temple jar is satin black. These beautiful temple jars were offered as part of Fenton's Final Offerings to their dealers. After announcing they were ceasing art glass production, Fenton rounded up all their blank, or unpainted pieces found in the factory. New designs were created for these pieces, and then they were offered to their dealers. All of them were in very limited quantities. None are in the regular lines. These temple jars are 6 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches high. This is Fenton ware 07707HP64.The design was created by Stacy Williams, one of Fenton's wonderful glass artists and designers.. The lid of the jar is satin black. The Fenton in line artist has signed his name on the bottom of the box.Favrene is one of Fenton's signature colors. Made with real silver in the glass formula, they were Fenton's recreation of the Tiffany Favrile. It is a very difficult color to create. When the glass temperatures are just right, the silver molecules mix with the blue at the surface to create a shimmering silvery blue color.
