ITEM DESCRIPTION I offer for your bidding pleasure, with NO RESERVE, this absolutely gorgeous Fenton Handpainted Rosalene Satin Fawn Figurine . This breathe-taking fawn is Fenton # C5160 8I and was produced in 1994 for sale exclusively by QVC. This item has been retired and will never be made again. The fawn is handcrafted in rosalene glass, a heat sensitive glass formula containing pure gold which transforms from white to a brilliant pink when reheated or "struck", which has been sanded to a smooth, satin finish. The figurine is painted with an Apple Blossom and Scroll decoration in pinks, white, and green. The original apple blossom pattern was developed by Louise Piper in the late 1960's. This superb fawn figurine is approximately 3 3/4" high, about 3 3/4" at its widest point and is about 2" in depth. This elegant fawn figurine is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, flakes, or scratches. The piece retains its "Fenton Hand Painted" paper label. The embossed oval Fenton logo has been obscured by the sanding process. It is signed by the Fenton artist who did the handpainting(D. Henderson). This figurine will arrive in a Fenton box. A truly wonderful art glass piece to add to your collection or give as an unforgettable gift for any occasion. Don't let this magnificent handpainted Rosalene Satin Fawn Figurine pass you by - place your winning high bid now! Thank you for viewing my auction and I hope your bidding is successful. I also invite you to look at my other auctions for more Fenton pieces, new and old, by clicking on the "View seller's other items" link at the top right of this auction page. Quotes From Fenton About Its Art Glass "Glass lacks uniformity as is evidenced in small bubbles and irregularities in texture..." and "T is no such thing as perfect glass." If you think about it, all handmade glass is that way. Each handmade glass item will be just a little different from the next. If an item has a first quality label, it has earned it by passing Fenton's rigorous quality control inspection process and any "differences" that may be present are of no consequence. I carefully inspect every item I place for auction and will note any "differences" I find. QUESTIONS??? Feel free to email any questions to me prior to placing your bid.
