If you have a den or special area in your home w you go to to find a quiet moment, this is the perfect lamp. Famed Fenton artist, Michael Dickinson, has perfectly captured the tranquility of sitting in the shade of a Weeping Willow tree at the water's edge of a small pond. You can almost hear the wind through the branches and feel the light breeze. Birds soar in the distance against a pale blue sky. This rare Fenton Colonial Lamp was painted in 1981 and comes to us from a private estate. It has been safely packed away since 1987. It features the hammered brass base and stands 16 inches high. We absolutely assure you it is flawless.

In the 1970's a little known artist came to Fenton's by the name of Michael Dickinson. He quickly made a name for himself as a factory decorator artist and later as a designer. He was also selected as one of the four artists in the Fenton Designer Series in the early 1980's. Michael Dickinson left Fenton Art Glass in the mid 1980's to further pursue his career as an artist. Dickinson 's work is some of the most sought after and hard to find. He is especially known for his beautifully detailed paintings of Oil Well Lamps that were distributed in Texas and Oklahoma as well as his painted scenes of Marietta College and other landmarks around the Ohio Valley .

This piece has never been offered for sale. It is from a very private, exclusive collection from an individual that has always lived in the Marietta , Ohio area. This extremely rare piece has been packed safely away (since 1987) until recently, when the owner decided to offer it for sale.
