WELCOME TO "KAWRIVER" TREASURES & THINGS OF INTEREST Up for your Bidding Consideration we have this RARE and SCARCE Magnificent Fenton Carnival Amethyst Poppy Lamp, Hand Blown Shade and Font. Beautiful hues of Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow, Gold and Pink. This lamp was purchased at a local estate auction of a lady who was a distributor for Fenton. She collected many scarce, rare and one of a kind items. Several knowledgeable collectors told me that this was a very rare lamp. I have seen these, rarely in the Gone With The Wind style, but never one like this. I have no knowledge of the date of manufacture, but I would believe after 1970, as it has the oval Fenton mark. My book shows nothing on this item. I have searched the web and could find nothing on this item, so at the very least it is extremely beautiful lamp. The lamp stands 17 ¾" tall to the top of the chimney. Shade is approximately 6" across and 9 1/8" tall to the ruffled top. The base measures roughly 5" square, with the Fenton logo on the bottom. This lamp is free of any Nicks, Chips, Cracks, Scratches or Repairs and as far as I can tell is in "As Manufactured Condition". My only concern is the plug on the cord is unpolorized. I have a $300.00 reserve on this item to protect my investment. A magnificent piece of Fenton Art Glass to add to your collection.
