FENTON RED CARNIVAL GLASS WATER SET 5 PCS. MINT w/BOX Up for sale is a gorgeous 5 pc. water set made by the Fenton Art Glass Company in West Virginia. It consists of a water pitcher with a scalloped top edge measuring 8 inches tall and 7 1/2 inches from spout to handle. Also included are 4 matching tumblers, which are 4 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches in diameter. As you can see from the photos, the design consists of a Red Carnival Stork and Rushes pattern, with shades of red, gold and blue. The pieces are quite substantial in weight and should be able to be used daily for years and years to come. From late 1907 through the 1920s "iridescent wave" (the original name for Carnival glass) was a major Fenton product. The changing hues and vivid colors were created by spraying hot glass with secret mixtures of metallic salts. In recent years, Carnival glass has become eagerly sought after by glass collectors. This set is special because it bears the Fenton 100th Anniversary seal. It is NEW, in MINT condition, never used or displayed. Comes with the original box. This elegant set is bound to go up in value due to the fact that it was made in Fenton's historic 100th year. To safely ship this exquisite set, it will be carefully packed and double boxed.
