FENTON ROSE BURMESEHAND-PAINTED COVERED CANDY BOX The name Burmese is attributed to Queen Victoria who is said to have exclaimed that the rich tones of blushing pink reminded her of a Burmese sunset. This yellow satin glass Rose Burmese handpainted pattern was first introduced in 1971. The Fenton brochure states "the color was created from pure gold, uranium and another precious metal to achieve this exotic color". This exquisite item is part of a 10 piece collection from a family estate. The Fenton ware number is 7484 RB., hand signed by Janet S.(Sindledecker). Condition is flawless with no blemishes. Item measures 7.5"tall x 5.5"at the base. For your consideration is this 3rd of 10 pieces to be auctioned weekly. This collection is all in pristine condition as these pieces were never used and were maintained in a covered glass curio cabinet for display purposes only.
