For your consideration:
A Stunning FENTON, Single, Gone With the Wind style globe, electric lamp. It is one-of-kind, as I was told. It was a "test shade" made at the Fenton Factory about 15 years ago. Acquired at the factory, the previous owner did not remember which types of glass were used but the best she could recall is that it was a combination of colors resulting in this beautiful amethyst color. You can see inside at the ruffle, the different blend of colors. The opalescent overlay appears to be blue rather than white, and this may be part of the reason why it wasn't further produced. It is even more beautiful in person - than is shown in the photos! It is lovely when lit too! The globe measures 27 in. around, 10 in. tall, 4 in. across bottom, and 6 in. across the ruffles. The hurricane shade is 12 in. tall and the total overall height is about 20 inches. It is in beautiful condition. T are no chips, cracks, hairlines, bites, nicks or repairs. This is a wonderful piece of Fenton, perfect for any collection or first-time FENTON buyer. I will be happy to answer any questions! Please Note: I did try contacting FENTON to gain information as to the type of glass used, (ie; plum, mulberry, amethyst or cranberry) but I have been unsuccessful thus far with an answer. Thank you!
