Ferndown is the English brand of Leslie (Les) John Wood, the owner of LJ&S Briars which has been around since the early 80s. Les doesn't do all the work, though. He gets some assistance from his wife Dolly, who does mostly finishings. Les perfected his craft at the Dunhill factory, w he worked for 25 years, give or take. Not just a pipe maker, Les might even be better known as a silversmith, working with Dunhill, Ashton and Comoy.This auction is for a new, unsmoked full bent Ferndown Bark Antique 1 Star with a very nice pebbled rusication and smooth top and 10mm sterling silver band. Retail price $325.Measures approx. 5.40" long by 1.85" tall with a 0.78" bore and weighs 1.50oz/43g. I believe pipe smoking is truly one of the few great pleasures in life. I desire to see that you are happy with each and every pipe you purchase from me so that every bowl you smoke is enjoyed from top to bottom, knowing that you got exactly what you wanted.
