Thia auction is for a rare Festival Of Britain tin Measures: approximately 170 wide, 160mm deep, and 72mm tall. Condition: hinges are intact with some light surface rust in places. Tin opens quite easily (at one corner more than the other). Small dent to lid; fwe other minor dents, mostly to lid edges. Please see photographs - there are small patches of light rust & wear across the whole tin, and some heavier patches around the well-used lid edges & corners, but in general it is in good condition. There are no large patches of rust to the decoration. The marks on the tin's base are the remains of old stickers and adhesive, with some very light dots of rust/wear. The tin as a whole would benefit from a gentle clean. It is in good vintage condition - clearly used, clearly old, and with the imperfections caused by use, but still bright and decorative after more than 60 years. The inside of the tin, as the photographs show, is still golden yellow and has only minor wear (scratches, a couple of very small dents, and light patches of wear/rust).
