We are pleased to be offering this outstanding Carved Rococo Rosewood Marble Top Center Table to you today. Dating from the 1860s, this table is attributed to the maker J.H. Belter. The oval Carrera marble top with serpentine bull nose edges is fitted to the skirt molding, which is carved profusely with stunning floral sprays. The table is supported by floral and leaf carved cabriole legs that are joined together by a carved serpentine cross-stretcher. In the center of the cross-stretcher is an outstanding large carved finial that resembles a floral bouquet with scroll and clamshell details as well. The table itself is raised on wooden and brass fitted casters, and measures 29.5 inches high, 43.75 inches long, and 35.5 inches wide. This piece retains its original finish and luscious dark chocolate patina, and the table remains in good condition, with little cracks in the carved floral bouquet that were repaired a long time ago, and if you cawl under the table and look at the right angle, you can see the repairs.T are a couple of small little glue joints w someone cleaned it years ago and must have tried to touch it up, and t area a couple of little lamination seams. The marble top is well matched to the base, with no stains or imperfections noted. The overall condition of table with the outside legs is very good with no obvious cracks or seams. Other than that, this table remains in good condition, and the marble matches well with the base. CLICK TO VISIT OUR STORE!! Shipping: It will cost $385.00 to have this shipped to your home.
