FIDELITY RECORD PLAYER Mains/portable. carry handle one side/feet the other. (table not included in auction) Two shades of grey with white inside lid and off white plastic grille/front. 16,33,45,78. speeds, but only 45 (singles) and 33 (LP) tested. 12", 10", and 7" record sizes manual select. I tested this player for a few hours yesterday (Friday 16th), on both 45's and lp. It works well and doesn't overheat. Some older players are prone to over heating after an hour of use. It has tone and volume controls which both work. Looks: it has marks around the case and two little screws in the front grille. It's missing it's name plaque which I think should be at top of the front grille. and the side catches have surface rust. It's one to use not for decoration. Having said that it's quite tidy and very useable. A bit of advice: With vintage record players, always allow at least half an hour for the player to cool down after use, before moving it, especially if you intend tipping it on it's side (carry handle). Valve amps are delicate things and need to be treated properly. Also if you intend tipping it, always use the securing screws to tighten the 'deck' down to the deck base/surround. The deck is sprung /and will move about if not secured. --------------- This is a UK postcodes only auction. The record player (like most) read more
