WOW, we have up for bid a vintage Red Harlequin syrup , (actually more like orange), and appears in excellent condition. This syrup is shown on page 263 of Fiesta, Harlequin, Kitchen Kraft Dinnerwares, A Schiffer Book for Collectors book dated 2000. It is described as " a wonderful addition to any collection but not easy to come by. Rhead designed the shape to match the size of the lid for the Fiesta Syrup ". It further on states " The plastic top used on the Harlequin syrup was produced by the Drip-cut-Company. The plastic tops tend to fade over time from age, so it is not unusual to find a syrup with a faded top that no longer matches the jar ". This syrup stands 5 7/8" high and the base in 2 1/2" and 3 1/2" measuring narrow and wide part. Production began in January 1940 and discontinued c.1942". Another reference I checked said the Harlequin syrup is more rare than the Fiesta syrup. Look at the photos and you can see the quality of this piece! No chips, or cracks! The only thing we can see are a few little crazing marks near the base of the syrup. See the photo. The inside is just as nice and the plastic lid fits nicely and appears in great condition. We ask that you have the item insured. It has been around at least 77 years and want to be sure it stays around for future generations. If you win and aren't 100% satisfied we will gladly refund your winning bid amount and pay for one-way shipping. E-mail us if you have any questions. This is for the SERIOUS FIESTA / HARLEQUIN COLLECTOR !!
