This auction is for one (1) RARE FIND: BEAUTIFUL EMBOSSED BIM SHEARED LIP FIGURAL BINOCULAR PERFUME BOTTLES -- WITH ORIGINAL CORK STOPPERS, LABELS, AND BRASS HOLDER -- from BRADLEY'S, NEW YORK! I am liquidating some of my collections to make room for the new. My consolidation -- your gain! [I am selling additional bottles, perfumes, smelling salts, medicinals, etc., in my other auctions -- check them out!] This is a wonderful example of a collectible early perfume bottle with fantastic shape/design, and both neck labels and cork stoppers -- WOW! Absolutely fantastic treasure, bottles themselves are in near mint condition, with no chips, cracks, or dings. Only issue is a little residue in base of each bottle. Neck labels are both present, one has most of lithography worn off, the other is age/content stained; both have some nibbles off top edges of labels. These are terrific BIM perfume bottles, with tons of whittle, bubbles, and imperfections from the making -- definitely worth acquiring -- must be in-hand to fully be appreciated! The top piece of brass is engraved: PAT APP'D FOR Label reads same for both: BRADLEY'S/ OPERA BOUQUET/ COLOGNE/ NEW YORK Just a remarkable vintage perfume bottle, considering its age, use, and handling! The late 1800s- turn-of-the-century found itself with a popular pasttime among the elite, going to or listening to the opera. Opera Bouquet was a successful brand of tobacco at the time. They, like many other industries, tried utilizing eachother's established 'opera bouqet' successes to market their own product lines. (Needless to say, their were many litigations because of this.) Figural bottle, in shape, condition, and completeness, is one for the perfume, bottle, or opera fan! F or anyone interested in antique figurals, colognes/scents/perfumes, vintage advertising, early bottles, Bradley's memorabilia, New York items, or 'opera' pieces in general! Low starting price and no reserve make this one of those "just gotta get me" acquisitions -- great for either the beginning or invested collector! This wonderful treasure measures approximately 3 3/4" h., base to lip. Worth adding to the collection, for both beginning collectors, as well as those invested in their scent/perfume/bottle collections! Please see pictures for details. Photos are with flash and without, so t may appear to be some color discrepancies that don't really exist. If t are any questions about pictures or information, requests must be made prior to auction's end.
