ABOUT OUR AUCTIONS: Hi everyone,thanks for taking a look at our items. We do hope everyone is having a nice holiday season, and we wish everyone all the best in 2008. Over the past couple months we have been unpacking and getting ready to list some amazing examples from our private collection. Over the next couple weeks we will be listing these items which are some of the finest pieces we have Ever listed online, some really amazing examples, and all starting low with No Reserve. If you haven't seen our auctions before it is nice to know we have Never Had a Reserve on one item ...Ever, no matter what it is! We also start everything off nice and low, usually under 15.00 to give everyone a great chance at a nice treasure. Also if you see more than one item you like, we give great combined shipping deals, always at least 50% lower for the second item and even lower for more items. ITEM: Up for auction is a Very Fine c1860 Victorian Figural Cut Glass Claret Jug Decanter. The Claret Jug is part of a Large Collection of Silver and other Fine Quality Estate items up for auction, as you can see in the last picture. The Claret Jug is one of the nicest period examples we have seen. As you can see the Jug is decorated with great figures all around including the Figural Spout, Handle, and Lion Top Finial. The Glass Base is also Finely Hand Cut. The Glass is also nice and clean with no staining, or damage of any kind. As you can see the base shows its nice early age. The Claret Jug is also in fine original condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. As you can see it also has a nice Gold Gilt Finish. I cannot see any marking of the mounts, so to be safe for the auction I will assume the top is metal, or silver plated or some kind. The Claret jug is also a nice size for use and display measuring 8 1/2 inches tall, by 4 1/8 inches wide at the base. I have no idea what the Fine c1860 Victorian Figural Claret Jug would be worth. You do not see to many as nice come up for auction. As usual we just start all our items off low, and will let you decide. Like a Real Auction should be!
