I am pleased to offer a very beautiful Chinese tea caddy dating from the mid 19th century! The black lacquer caddy depicts gold painted figural scenes on all sides which are additionally accented with carved pieces of abalone shell. Inside t are two separate compartements each lined with silver paper. The lids of the compartements have a tiny ivory knob each. The condition is very good though not completely free of flaws. Due to age and usage t are minor nips and flea bites on the box. These do not interfere with the very lovely look of the box, though in any way!The measurements are 5 1/8" x 9 3/4" and the height measures a bit over 4 1/4".Shipping to the US amounts to $32.For European buyers: In the European Community I only accept bank transfers with IBAN & BIC.
