This is a finely modeled and handpainted porcelain figure of a beautiful young woman leaning down to a boy who appears to be pushing her away. He is just about to step on an open school book. The lady is holding an apple behind her back in her right hand. The painting and style of this looks to be Meissen, particularly the boys face. T is an incised marking on the bottom, as well as an asterisk. T is also what almost looks like incised crossed swords. All I know is that this came from Germany and is definitely of high quality. It is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. Please enlarge all photos to see the detail. It measures almost 8" high.Click For More Beautiful Antique Dresden Figurines.
