I am pleased to offer a very beautiful cast mantle clock dating from the 19th century!Thefront and the two sides are finely decorated with gilt bronze floraldecorations. A putto sits on either corner and a lady figure dressed in the ancient greek style sits on the top. On either side is a finely painted porcelain plaque and on the front underneath the face of the clock is a plaque which depicts two chubby puttis. The numbers on the face are also porcellan. The movement of the clock is signed: Mirant & Botsford Paris. The overall measurements are 4 1/4" x 6 7/8" and the height is approximately 10 3/4".The condition is very good but not without flaws: one watch hand is missing and two numbers have minor chips. The clock itself is not complete. The pendulum is missing- this at least I can make out and I suppose the movement needs a cleaning. On minor parts the gilding is a bit faded.Apart from the flaws a very beautiful and highly decorative item!Shipping to the States amounts to $47.For European buyers: I only accept bank transfers in the European Community. Thank you!
