Fine quality, antique, flame mahogany, Classical, American, four poster bed circa 1830 . Fine quality, antique, American, Classical four poster bed, circa 1840. T are four posts each with a turned finial, below are columns that have 'barley twist', carving, they are of baluster shape, to the center of the posts is a turned and carved baluster, below which is a carved block and a Corinthian capital, the post continues with 'barley twist' carving and terminates in a carved lion's paw foot. Both the headboard and footboard are in flame mahogany, the headboard has a carved 'swan's neck' pediment and the footboard has similar carving. Condition is very good, all original patina, no alterations or damage. Dimensions; 74" tall 59.5" wide x 82" long, a fine antique American four poster mahogany bed , circa 1830.
