Fine Antique Native American Navajo Natural Wools Rug

This mint condition antique Native American Navajo wool rug has a very fine weave and is woven from natural colors of wool(black, ivory, and charcoal). The rug measures 3' 1 1/2" (37 1/2") by 4' 7" (55"). The rug has a charcoal background. It shows two diamonds which are composed of black and ivory. T is an ivory "X" in the center of the rug. The rug has an inner ivory border and an outside border of black. Each of the four corners is finished with a black tassle. The tassles have varying lengths. It is important to note that the above photographs show the front and back of the rug, respectfully. The fourth photograph demonstrates the very fine weave of the rug. This rug was obtained from a private collection and has been securely stored by us for decades. This being said, it is in impeccable condition. It has no tears, rips, soft spots, or holes. It has never been laundered. The color variations that may be apparent in the above photos are consistent with the rug's natural fibers. T are no stains on the rug. This rug is a fine example of superior weaving. It would be a wonderful addition to a sophisticated Navajo rug collection due to its condition and design and natural colors. and age. This rug would also be beautifully displayed as a wall hanging or accent rug.
