This is a service for 8 of Fine Arts Sterling; Southern Colonial pattern. This is a nice classic pattern. It is from an estate sale w many items were from the 1940's. Since this pattern dates back to 1945, I imagine that this set has had only one owner. The pieces show signs of gentle use over the years (probably for holiday family gatherings and other special events only). I did not polish the pieces any. I think that the auctioneer did so prior to the sale as they all have a nice shine to them. I have included 12 photos to allow you to view the pieces as best as possible. Included in this service are: 8 Dinner knives, 8 Soup spoons, 16 Teaspoons/dessert spoons, 8 Dinner forks, 8 Salad forks, 8 Icedtea/parfait spoons, 8 Demitasse spoons. That completes the place service pieces, unusual that they opted for icedtea spoons and demitasse spoons in lieu of place butter knives. T are also: 3 Cocktail forks, 1 Master butter knife, 6 Serving spoons, 1 Jelly server, 1 Salad Serving fork & spoon set, 1 Carving knife & fork set, 1 Sugar spoon, 1 Gravy ladle, 1 Condiment ladle, 1 Pie server, 1 small wide spoon(jelly spoon?), and 1 Pickle fork which has damage to it as if it fell into the dishwaher or disposal briefly( it is still functional but a little mis-shapen). The pieces are enclosed in cloth bags marked Fine Arts Sterling. The bags have only 6 slots in each so some have additional pieces in them to keep the sets of 8 together. Excluding the pieces with stainless parts, this silver weighs 5 POUNDS 9 ounces! Included is the original chest marked : Fine Arts Sterling Twelve South Twelfth Street Philadelphia 7, Pennsylvania Pacific Silver Cloths. The chest needs refinished and has chip missing on the lip. It has many scratches also but it is functional and has protected this silver for many years. This is the ONLY time I will offer this as a complete "Lifetime Collection" of this lovely set. Treat yourself and your family to an Heirloom this Christmas! Shipping is FREE within the United States and I will also include insurance for the selling price.
