ABOUT OUR AUCTIONS: Hi everyone, thanks for taking a look at our items. This week is something a little different from what we usually list being this Very Fine Antique Cat Collection. Over the next few weeks we will be listing many very fine examples from our private collection including lots of Fine Silver, Fine Timepieces, Asian Arts, Early Ceramics, ect. If you haven't seen our items before it is nice to know we have Never Had a Reserve on one item Ever, no matter what it is!!!We also try and start everything off nice and low always under 20.00 to give everyone a great chance at a nice treasure! We also give great combined shipping deals if you see more than one item you like. Thank you to all our great customers, we hope to hear form you again soon, all the best! THE COLLECTION: This week we are listing the Very Fine Large Antique Cat collection of F.Irwin, as you can see in the last pictures. We do not know a great deal about the collection, but having collected early ceramics for many years can tell you t are some Exceptionally Rare examples and it is one of the finest collections we have seen. We were also told parts of Irwin's collection have been featured in books over the years. We are not sure what all the pieces are, so we are sure t will be some real deals! We have listed all the pieces this week at once so everyone could get nice combined shipping deals if you are interested in more than one auction. Basically if you are interested in the smaller cats we would only charge 1-2 dollars more per auction won in shipping. We give the best shipping deals we can, and if lots of auctions are purchased alot of the time don't even charge any extra shipping, so it is good to take advantage of the shipping deals! You do not see to many collections like this come up for auction anymore, it is a really great opportunity to purchase some very fine examples. We wish everyone the best of luck with the auctions! ITEM: Up for auction is a Fine Early Japanese Ivory Netsuke of a Man with a Large Sack, and Cat. Well we do not know a great deal about the cats in the collection but having collected Asian arts for many years can tell you this is a very fine period example. I am sure it is at least Meiji Period or possibly even earlier. As you can see the Netsuke has a nice period patina throughout. The Figure is also finely hand carved all around including the underside which you find on the finer period examples. As you can see the Sack has a Great Cat figure also hitching a ride giving the Netsuke a little bit of a comical side. The Netsuke is also Authentic Ivory with a nice graining throughout. The figure is also in fine original condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The Netsuke measures 1 3/4 inches long, by 3/4's of an inch wide, and sits 1 1/4 inches tall. I have no idea what the Early Japanese Ivory Netsuke would be worth. I do know it may be some time beofre you see another figure quite like it, and with No Reserve! As usual we just start all our items off low, and will let you decide. Like a Real Auction should be!! The Very Fine Early Japanese Ivory Netsuke would make an great addition to any collection, and is also an excellent investment piece. BEST OF LUCK WITH THE AUCTION!
