The case has a tombstone door with an ivory-inlaid escutcheon, fluted quarter columns, a paneled base, and bracket feet. The complex, 8-day, brass and iron movement is signed F.W. ELLIOT, LTD. / CROYDON, / LONDON and plays 4 tunes: `Fight the Good Fight,` `Be Thou My Guardian,` `Land of Hope and Glory,` and `The Holy City.` On the inside of the door is a presentation plaque indicating that the clock was a retirement gift to Summers Hunter, Esquire from the North Eastern Marine Company, Ltd. of Wallsend-on-Tyne and Sunderland in 1929. A beautiful clock in a fine finish; 75.5` high x 12.5` wide x 9` deep.
