Up for auction is a superb large Japanese bronze vase dating to the Meiji period and standing almost 16 inches tall. The scene around the piece is very well executed. It depicts a blossoming tree climbing up out of the ground with a pond and water plants in the background. This gives the scene unusual depth. Perched among the branches are three birds along with one flying. Vase is signed on the base. Condition is excellent with the exception of one very small dent in the body. Camera could not pick it up. The white spots you see is splashed paint or some type of substance that could be easily removed.
