A Fine Working Scale Model of an American Machine Company, Newark, Delaware, Ericsson "Denney" Improved Hot-Air Pumping Engine. This is the finest example of this desirable model that we have ever seen. Built to Museum Standard by the late Vintage Rolls Royce collector and world recognized technician and restorer Frank Cooke of The Vintage Garage , North Brookfield, Mass. From castings believed to have been provided by the late Brad Eisner. Frank was also known in the world of optical technology and was instrumental in rectifying the in-space aberration of the famous Hubble Telescope. Fine details include: a single 7" dia. spoked flywheel with a polished nickel 7/8" face, twin overhead walking beam with brass "grasshopper" linkage to a twin cast pivot arm with twin adjustable counter-balance weights, 2" bore cylinder with internal power and displacement pistons, side-mounted positive displacement water pump with brass air-dome and piping, cast firebox with hinged door and internal propane burner (attachment hose included), the firebox with cast raised maker's name and under-mounted burner access opening. Other details include: inlet brass air-dome, polished steel drop-rods, heavy main pierced frame, twin adjustable brass main-bearings each with oil ports, removable copper chimney, brass packing glands all on a cast sub-base 8" x 4 ¾" with 11" x 7" presentation mahogany base. this engine is in exceptional working order and would complement any collection, executive's office or room in the house. Dimensions: Overall height to top of flywheel 16 ¾"; Weight: 30 lbs.
