This is a fine and original spirit lighter from the 19th century and dates about c1870-1880. In a bronze with the wonderful overall and exceptional detailing with the two heads to the circumference. Would have been sited on a table in a tobacconists or similar with the spirit having been lit and cigars being lit from the continuous flame. Has an overall height of about 4.75inches with a max dia of about 3.5inches. Considering the age, the overall condition is excellent and is without blemish. Besides being a very collectable and original 19th century bronze spirit lighter of an outstanding quality, would also look fabulous displayed.
