TITANITE (fine, sharp, lustrous, translucent, peach colored, flattened crystals) with gemmy, green DIOPSIDE .
As many of you know, I'm a big fan of Alpine and "Alpine-type" minerals from around the world. Some of the TITANITE specimens from Pakistan are the best quality "Alpine-type" TITANITES I've seen Sometimes this species is referred to as "Sphene", but it is an outdated name and the correct name is TITANITE , though both are accepted in the mineral world. This piece features fine, sharp, lustrous, translucent, peach colored, flattened crystals of TITANITE associated with gemmy, green DIOPSIDE .. A very aesthetic "thumbnail" specimen ! Enjoy !! NO RESERVE !! Locality : Tormiq, above Baghicha, Gilgit-Skardu Rd., Northern Areas, Pakistan. Specimen Size : 2.8 x 1.7 x 1.5 cm. Largest Titanite Crystal : 1.5 cm. ** Please note that shipping for any specimens purchased via USPS First Class Mail is FREE to customers living in the United States. If the package is too heavy to be shipped via First Class Mail, I have instituted a new shipping policy and ask that you split the cost with me for Priority Mail (this includes a handling charge). T will be times on larger orders that I ask for the buyer to pay for the entire shipping cost, but this is not often. If you desire to have the specimen shipped by any means than First Class Mail, I ask that you pay for the additional shipping. Insurance is ALWAYS optional, but I ask that you pay for that as well. I ask all buyers for all international orders to pay for the entire shipping cost.
