This is a superb and a very unusual pair of spelter bronze elephant figurines which date I am advised from circa late 19th century. My bronze figurines come from a variety of sources including part clearance collections, quality antique fairs and small private sales which uncover pieces from the 18th,19th, 20th centuries and later periods, and include a variety of bronzes such as animalier, Art Nouveau, Art Deco. These are superb elephant spelter figurines which are free standing on a wooden base. They are quite beautifully detailed and of very fine quality with good weight to them. The condition is excellent and age commensurate with just minor wear in places to the spelter. The largest elephant m easures some 4.7" height and some 8.5" overall length. Base is some 8.3" long and some 4" width. The smaller elephant is some 4.4" height, some 5.5" overall length. Base some 5.4" long and some 3.2" width. A superb and a very collectable pair of spelter elephants on wood stands which will make a fine decorative display.
