Fresh from a Fine Chapel Hill, North Carolina estate, the Redlich Sterling footed Compote was made circa 1890 and is in good condition with very slight polishing marks a few black spots on the inside of the bowl that need to be polished out. It has a nice patina that gives it that, "old money" look. The compote is 8 1/4" wide and 3 7/8" tall. It weighs 416 grams. The bottom is marked with the Redlich mark, Sterling, 4043x 8 1/4"Redlich and Company produced very high quality sterling silver ware from circa 1890 to 1946 when it was bought out by Elgin.Check out my other items !
