Fine Shell Cameo Pin/Pendant

This large cameo is one of the nicest shell cameos I have ever seen. The classic double portrait cameo measures about 60mm x 43mm(2 3/8" x 1 3/4") and the overall size of the setting is about 2 5/8" x 2 1/8". The cameo is supported in its' handmade bezel setting by 4 ball-like protrusions. The pin catch(with safety) is stamped "14K" and the pendant loop swivels out of sight when being used as a pin. There is a slight irregularity on the bezel(see photos), which I believe is original to the setting. This does not endanger the cameo in any way. Great quality on the carving of this piece, which I feel was created before the turn of the century.
