GEMMY GREEN FLUORITE STRONG DAYLIGHT FLUORESCENCE ROGERLEY MINE Frosterly Weardale, England Dimensions: 5 5/8 x 4 1/8 x 2 7/8 inches Weight: 2 pounds 4.6 ounces Largest cube is 1 inch across From a locality famous for its highly fluorescent Fluorite I am pleased to offer for your wonderment my finest specimen of this beautiful material. It is a 2 1/4 pound, SELF-STANDING specimen with wall-to-wall coverage of sharply terminated cubes of this very special Fluorite. The cubes all have a rich green color, exhibit lovely GEMMY corners, and aside from the outer edges w it was attached to the surrounding rock are all in excellent condition. Several PENETRATION TWINS are also present. Of course this Fluorite exhibits a very lively purplish fluorescence under both longwave and shortwave UV light. It also exhibits a property called DAYLIGHT FLUORESCENCE, w the edges of the cubes acquire a BLUE TINT in the presence of normal daylight - this happens even in the shade, as seen above! This remarkable large-cabinet beauty exhibits some of the strongest daylight fluorescence that we have ever seen - it is truly stunning in person. A gorgeous, world-class specimen that presents perfectly for display on a natural (not sawn) bottom, and super CLEAN compared to most examples offered. Guaranteed AMAZE and to delight! ---------------------------------
