We are offering a great old Collectible for Auction. This is a Fire Dept. all Brass pond strainer. This stands 19 1/2 inches tall to the top of the hook. It will weigh approximately 24 pounds with packing. It measures 15 1/2 inches across the handles. The inside is 6 inches before the first thread. It has R2592 marked on the handle. The one handle is a little off from straight out, but not cracked or broke. WE DID HAVE THIS PROFESSIONALLY POLISHED AND LACQUERED. This is the last large size strainer we have to sell. Will make a great addition to any collection, and what a great GIFT. We are not placing a reserve on this old BEAUTY .

We take extra care in packing your item – as if we were receiving it ourselves. For large and/or fragile items, e.g., full-size extinguishers, we purchase special boxes, and use bubble wrap, styrofoam and peanuts to protect and secure the contents.

The weight with good packing will be approx. 24 pounds. We want the buyer to be completely satisfied. If you think we have misrepresented this item, please E-Mail us immediately and let’s discuss the issue. The return policy is after we discuss by phone or e-mail, send it back within 3 calendar days, shipping paid, and we will refund 100% of the bid amount.

In the interest of being fair and “putting the details up front,” we want you to know that the shipping charge includes a $4 fee for buying and/or scrounging for boxes, buying tape and packing materials, taking the package to the Post Office or UPS, waiting in line, etc. On a small item we reduce the fee to $2. This is not intended to be a “money maker” – only to recover some of the out-of-pocket expenses. If you are in any way uncomfortable with this policy, PLEASE do not bid.

Payments: We accept PayPal, certified checks, and personal checks. Personal checks will be held until they clear. E-Bay has announced a new, vastly more restrictive, payment policy. We will comply with any such guidance, of course, but our primary obligation is to the buyer. Accordingly, we will accept payments in any allowable form. Pick-up IS always available and is an option.
