A glass fire grenade, circa 1880, turquoise blue in color with smooth base and sheared-ground lip. Embossed on the front with a star with the word " STAR " in the center, embossed on the band around the belly " HARDEN HAND GRENADE / FIRE EXTINGUISHER". Measures 6-1/2" tall x 4-1/2" wide. The lip has the usual light chipping from the grinding process, there is a 1/2" crack in the neck and a little light inside staining.
