Brass fire hose strainer, 1 1/2" fitting, marked "U.S. Rubber Co.". Has 4 feet on bottom for resting on bottom of water source without clogging. Holes are small to help prevent minows and rocks from being sucked in. Overall size 11" x 5" weighs 7.5 lbs. We have never seen another like it although they may exsist in private collections. Family collection being downsized.
