This is a weathered reproduction copy of the mark used by the Fire Association of Philadelphia used in the mid 1860s. A photograph of an original appears in the book The Historical Collection of the Insurance Company of North America. A copy of this book will be for sale in the next few days. It is weathered looking but no cracks or rust. There is a mold mark from the maker in the back as shown. It is one of the last two of my Father's collection of fire marks given to me for safe keeping prior to his passing in 1990. It is a nice old looking reproduction. Another reproduction firemark is up for sale here. Size of the plaque is 11 inches by 7 inches approximately. Shipping is boxed via Parcel Post which takes 4- 7 days due to it's weight. If you are not happy when you see it, please return it in the same packing for a full refund plus return postage. .
