Exceptional late 1800's to early 1900's Medieval to Arts & Crafts Copper and Wrought Iron Fire-screen featuring a KNIGHT IN ARMOR and TWO LIONS. This is a stunning and dramatic piece all hand tooled and formed from copper on a hand wrought, iron frame. The imagery is very bold and dramatic, with a Knight front and center, flanked on both sides by lions. This may be a family crest from the Continent and was possibly custom made. It is very special!!
CONDITION: This is in superb condition, no damage or repairs, only slight wear and a few little dings here and there,nothing of an significance and certainly none detracts from the drama and beauty. SIZE: It measure 32" high x 22" wide, with figural scroll feet 12" deep.
