This coin is from the Historic Colorado Mining Series, featuring the The First Gold Rush - 1858 Series . This is a pure .999 silver coin with 24k gold plated Trim. On the front is a 24k gold plated Great American Eagle with talonsclinging to silver twigs. His wings are fully spread with a banner between them that clearly r eads: 24 KARAT GOLD 999 PURE SILVER, the rim is also 24k gold plated as well as the "fully" reeded edge. This coin shows tarnish mostly on the silver surrounding the Eagle, also tarnished areas on the gold played areas, this coin is uncirculated and in better than fair condition .The back is all silver with a gold edge, showing an Old Prospector, his burro and gear walking on the banks ofa calm lake, foothills and high mountains in the background. This side shows very small amount of tarnish starting to form on the left side in the sky, other than that and the dirt, this side is in very good condition. Unfortunately for all of us , this coin has been lock in a basement vault for over 9 years, the tarnish is mostly due to moister inside the capsule, details are still astonishing.The other coins in the vault are extremely tarnished and in very poor condition. Take advantage of this opportunity to own an Colorado Gold Rush - 1858 in very decent condition, it does show one contact mark on the front, lower right of the eagle, in the silver. It is beautiful even with the tarnish and contact mark, it would make a very nice addition to any casino coin collection. Please view the enlarged pictures and judge this coin for yourself. This coin was minted especially for the .25 ¢ Sliver Strike Slot Machines in Colorado. T were 3 in this series but they do have several different variations on the back, some have a running stream with lots of ripples, smooth lake, slow running streams with small ripples. Others show spring time with grass and foliage, the prospector is dressed in different clothing, in some strikes he's wearing glasses, very small minor changes that only a true collector would notice. The third coin is very rare, it is the only Gold Rush 1858 coin with only the eagle in 24k gold plating, I have only seen 2 of these in the last 10 years.
