This auction is for the official presentation set of the international Society of postmasters issued by the Franklin mint. According to the letter from the Franklin mint, the official presentation set of the international Society of postmasters is the first international collection of philatelic presentation sets ever issued. It contains 36 different pages of first day of issue cancellation decorated envelopes, a sealed mint condition stamp that was used on the envelope and also includes a sculptured .925 sterling silver relief portraying the stamp on the envelope. The envelope itself is decorated with an original work of art created expressly to complement the stamps theme. On the reverse of the presentation set is an informative commentary regarding what each country was commemorating in both English and French.
