Illustrated with engraved plates. 7 are listed but no VII is missing. There are also 4 figures in text. Numerous footnotes. Leather binding, gilt title etc on spine. Measures approx. 3.5 inches x 8.75 inches x 1.5 inches thick. Covers poor, very worn, leather flaking, losses to spine which is darkened - evidence of scorch? Closed page edges browned & foxed.
