First, there was ACTION 1, The First Appearance of Superman and on NOVEMBER 5, 1939 The Very First Appearance of Superman in the Sunday Pages. At First,Very Few Papers Carried Superman in Their Sunday Comics. It quickly became all the rage, but early on, relatively few papers secumbed to Superman's Powers. So only a limited number of papers had the Very First Superman. Below (on this 21 X 15 Sunday) is THE FIRST APPEARANCE OF A NEW STRIP CALLED "NAVY BOB STEELE". So You are getting TWO First Appearances of a New Comic Strip. Notice that Navy Bob Steele has drawings of the main characters to introduce the reader to this new strip. This page came from a bound volume and has Never Been Folded. So, I Will Mail It Flat... I have a run of Superman Sundays and have to see exactly what I do have, but will be putting them up on EBAY, so Please, if You Love Superman or have a friend who does, look for others going up soon.
