This auction is for the first 4 volumes of the Donald Kaufman auction, held by Bertoia over the last 2 years. This auction has been called the greatest auction of vintage toys ever. The founder of KB Toys, Kaufman collected widely, from tinplate clockwork boats from Marklin; Carette, Marklin, Fischer, clockwork cars; JEP and Japanese windup airplanes; original catalogs from the various toy makers; the finest cast iron motorcycles, cars, and trucks by Hubley, Arcade, and others; pedal cars, windup American tinplate, and much of it mint, mint in box, or the finest examples known. These books are hard cover, all glossy paper, all full color photo's. I bought a full set of these for myself as the auctions progressed, paying about $45 a volume. All four come with prices realized sheets. All volumes in very good condition, no writing that I could see, minor edge bumping to a few of the covers. International bidders please note the weight is 11 pounds - this will be very expensive to ship overseas. I combine shipping on multiple purchases, but to get the media mail rate you need to only combine with other books, cd's, or dvd's. Payment : All buyers, per the new eBay policy I can only accept PayPal as a payment method for all auctions. If you have questions about this or other payment methods please contact me. Payment is due within seven days from the end of the auction. If your payment is not received within this time period your order will be canceled and the item relisted. Handling time : I do my best to mail packages out the day after I get payment. If I receive payment before 9:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (U.S.) I will have it in the mail the next day, except for Sunday because U.S. Post Offices are not open on Sunday. U.S. Shipping : I use First Class (up to 13 oz) and Priority mail after that. Books ship media mail. I only charge actual postage - no added fees. I combine multiple items won by the same person the same week and charge actual postage. Please note, eBay reimbursement guarantees for buyers only apply if you have selected a trackable shipping method -- that means Priority Mail. I use lots of bubble wrap and peanuts and good boxes. In a group of multiple figures each figure is wrapped individually. Whenever there is an original box or other original paper item I put that into a plastic bag in case you get delivery on a rainy day. International Shipping : No international with books, sorry. I prefer to use Priority International mail because it is trackable. All Priority Packages are fully guaranteed. First Class International is available, but there is no guarantee on First Class International pacakges. Also, please note that there can be considerable delays at customs. Also, please note that the buyer is responsible for all customs fees, import duty fees, VAT taxes, and other similar fees. Return Policy: Returns are accepted within 7 days, so long as item is returned in the condition that it was in when it was sold. If the item was misrepresented I will refund the postage both ways. If the item was not misrepresented, I will refund the purchase price only -- not the shipping paid to get it to you, or for you to return it.
