This Fisher 500C is anexcellent example of a classic tube receiver. It is fully functional and all the tubes have been tested and perform at 80% or better. The power tubes are The Fisher power tubes. Notice how minty the bottom looks which is testimony to the fact that this unit has not been stored in someones damp garage for 10 years. The inside has some dust settled onto it which I havnt taken the time to clean but with some TLC and a q tip it could shine like the bottom. The knobs are all original with the brass caps but some of the brass caps could use some polish to look as bright as the best ones. The wood case is beautiful and doesn't have any major scratches but the original masonite grill over the power tubes has darkened from the heat rising off of the power tubes and is bent from something heavy having been set on it. New metal replacement grills are available online.
